Overview

Name | Version: Note Motor 2.0
Author: opticon93
Device Type: MIDI Generator
Description: This upgrade includes some Slop parameters to play with. Off beats can be randomly (or not) moved before or after the grid. When Random is off, the slop just follows the min setting.

Also, the core timing components have been replaced with audio rate Quantonium.

At its heart, this is a chain gun style, reverse Euclidean note generator.

In normal Euclidean sequencing, you specify the number of On Steps you want and then it distributes those beats "As evenly as possible", putting a variable number of Skips in between each of them to make it fit.

Here, you specify the number of On Steps and the number of Skips and it shoots out that pattern stream without needing to get it "As even as possible", since its already that way by design. You can Shift the entire thing up 100 steps and finish out the pattern burst with an optional number of Off steps.

I originally made this to go in front of my note-driven Chord Stepper so that I could just automate the On/Off button, instead of having to muck about with clips.

There's bound to be some weirdness. Please let me know so I can try and fix it.

Share and Enjoy!
